The loofah plant, seen here in its fresh green stage, naturally transforms into a useful and eco-friendly product as it matures. When left to fully ripen on the vine, the vegetable becomes dry and develops a strong fibrous structure inside. After harvesting, its outer skin is peeled off and the seeds are removed, revealing a natural sponge. This sponge is then thoroughly washed and sun-dried to make it clean and durable. Finally, it is cut and shaped into different forms, creating loofah products that are widely used for bathing, exfoliation, and cleaning, making them a sustainable and biodegradable alternative to synthetic scrubbers.

Once collected, the lufa is sun-dried to develop its strong fibrous texture, then cleaned and processed to remove seeds and impurities.
